Tutorial Monday, October 4, 1999 Session I: MPI and OpenMP Internals for Programmers

Description: This tutorial will discuss using MPI and OpenMP on an IBM SP with SMP nodes. The discussion will include aspects of running MPI across all processors using IP and US as well as running MPI between nodes and some form of threads on the node. The beginning of the tutorial will include an introduction to IBM's implementation of MPI and OpenMP. These concepts are further developed for the programmer in order to get the most out of the SP architecture.
