Tutorial Tuesday, October 5, 1999 Session I: High-performance I/O with GPFS

Description: This tutorial will concentrate on optimizing I/O for the IBM SP system. A general user's level overview of GPFS will be given and then details on how best to tune an I/O intensive application for GPFS will follow. Additionally, optimization of sequential I/O will be discussed and tools will be shown to investigate I/O performance on the SP.
