The IBM SP Scientific Computing User Group, SCICOMP, is an international organization of scientific/technical users of IBM SP systems. The purpose of SCICOMP is to share information on software tools and techniques for developing scientific applications that achieve maximum performance and scalability on SP systems. SCICOMP meetings include technical presentations by both IBM staff and SP users. Technical presentations focus on recent results and advanced techniques in order to provide the kind of information, expertise, and experience that scientific and technical applications developers need but cannot easily find anywhere else.

The second SCICOMP meeting, SCICOMP 2000, will be hosted by the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) at the University of California San Diego in La Jolla, CA on August 13-16. The first SCICOMP meeting, SCICOMP 1999, was hosted by IBM's Advanced Computing Technology Center (ACTC) in Yorktown Heights, NY in October, 1999. Future SCICOMP meetings will alternate between locations inside and outside of the United States.

Please direct questions regarding technical presentations to Jay Boisseau at boisseau@sdsc.edu. Questions on registration and local accommodations should be sent to Peggy Wagner at wagner@sdsc.edu
